2011 Official Rules & Regulations
The 2011 Earning for Learning program begins on August 14, 2011 and ends on September 24, 2011. Customers must present receipts to the New Towne Mall office (Mon-Fri: 8:30a-5:30p; Sat: 10a-5p) Qualifying receipts are on purchases made from August 14th through September 24th ONLY, and MUST BE FROM a retailer at New Towne Mall.
Receipts may only be used one time and will be marked when presented to the management office. The receipt must be the original. Duplicate receipts, photo copies, faxes and internet orders will not be accepted. All receipts must be redeemed by 5:30pm on September 24th.
Faxes and photo copies cannot be redeemed for points. Credit Card payments, even if made to a store at the mall, will not be accepted for points.
Store employees may not request, or copy, receipts from store customers in order to redeem them for points. Additionally, stores (or store employees) may not hold receipts to give to schools to redeem for points. Solicitation of stores by schools to hold receipts for such schools is prohibited.
Receipts are only valid from New Towne Mall.
Any public or private K-12, elementary, middle, or high school in the state of Ohio is eligible to participate. Pre-Schools, colleges and other post – high school institutions are not eligible.
There will be two separate contests: One with a weekly prize awarded to a school with the highest points each week, based on student ratio, and one with weekly prizes awarded to customers by random drawings of entry forms from receipts turned in each week. For the purpose of this program, a week is considered Sunday – Monday.
Each dollar spent equals 1 point. Any less than $.50 will be rounded down to the nearest dollar, and anything equal to or greater than $.50 will be rounded up to the nearest dollar (Ex. $10.45 = 10 points and $10.56 = 11 points). Double points will be given if the purchase was made on a Monday or Tuesday, triple points for gift card purchases and the receipt indicates as such.
The highest points per student ratio will determine the winning schools. The total number of points for each school is divided by the number of students enrolled in the school, and all schools regardless of size will start with a minimum student enrollment of 300. Enrollment numbers will be provided by the schools.
Additional opportunities for special points will be announced via the New Towne Mall Facebook and Twitter sites.
At the end of each week – the top school with the highest points per student ratio will win a $1,000 cash prize.

- WEEK 5 - 9/11/11 – 9/17/11 - $1,000
- WEEK 6 - 9/18/11 – 9/24/11 - $1,000
For the weekly prizes to customers, the individual whose entry form is drawn at random will win a $100 Gift Card to New Towne Mall. When a customer brings in a receipt(s) to apply towards a school of their choice, they will receive one entry form per receipt. Entry forms must be filled out completely at the time they are issued and immediately returned to New Towne Mall. Following the completion of each week, a member of New Towne Mall Management will randomly choose one entry form and that customer will win a $100 Gift Card to New Towne Mall. All remaining entries will be discarded and the weekly drawing will start over.
Employees of New Towne Mall, their management agents, affiliates and subsidiaries and their families are not eligible to enter or win.
No purchase is necessary to enter the weekly drawing for customers, though. To enter without a purchase, hand print your first/last name, street address, city, state, zip code and telephone number including area code on a 3” X 5” card and mail in a hand addressed envelope to:

Limit one entry per envelope. Limit one free entry, per person, per week. Mailed entries must be postmarked by September 21, 2011 and received no later that September 24, 2011.
Each Monday after each program week ends (August 22, 2011 - September 26, 2011), before New Towne Mall opens for business at 10am, one entry form will randomly be chosen as the winner of a $50 New Towne Mall Gift Card. All remaining entries will be discarded and the contest starts over. Contact information from the entry forms will be used by New Towne Mall, our retailers and partners to notify you of future events, sales and promotions. You may opt out at anytime.
Winners will be contacted within 5 business days of the conclusion of each program week by phone, email and/or USPS mail. Prizes awarded to schools will be distributed within 45 days after the completion of the program. Prizes awarded to customers may be picked up with a valid picture ID at the New Towne Mall Management office Monday-Friday from 8:30am – 5:30pm. Prizes awarded to customers not redeemed by October 31, 2011 will be forfeited.
New Towne Mall Management Office will make the final decision regarding any dispute.
New Towne Mall reserves the right to refuse suspicious or fraudulent receipts, or any receipt transactions breaking the above rules.
New Towne Mall reserves the right to modify these rules at any time without notice.
